We are Jollywood, a husband and wife team based in Darley Abbey, crafting unique pieces from the comfort of our home.

 

Our driftwood collection primarily comes from North Cornwall, where we meticulously clean and treat each piece for repurposing. Additionally, we incorporate reclaimed wood from trusted sources and strive to minimize plastic use in our embellishments, which include metal, handcrafted clay, paper, fabric, and string.

 

While we may revisit certain styles like beach huts and cottages, each piece is handmade, ensuring its unique character. We draw inspiration from individual driftwood pieces, delighting in the creation of entirely unique designs.

 

John is responsible for handpicking and cutting the wood, getting it ready for painting, decorating, and crafting supports, fences, steps, and piers. Meanwhile, my focus lies in painting, decorating, and adding intricate details such as bunting, flowers, lampposts, and miniature accessories. It's the part I enjoy the most, a labor of love blending intricate elements, yet also the most time-consuming aspect of our work!

 

Our creations stem from our imaginations, possessing a nostalgic charm while seamlessly fitting into modern home decor. Each piece reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and environmental mindfulness.
